We had a fantastic time Saturday night at Danel Bridal Salon‘s Fashion Show at the Holiday Inn in Binghamton. I brought my 2 oldest girls with me and they LOVED seeing everyone all dressed up. Those ladies (and gentlemen) did a fantastic job modeling! Although my 10 year old did say in the car on the way home. “I wonder if all those men really wanted to be there, or did their wives make them do it.” :)
After a crazy wedding season and the holidays, I am finally getting caught up on blogging some of our 2014 weddings. I first met Eileen when she was a bridesmaid in her cousin’s wedding. It is always an honor when families ask us to come back and photograph their next weddings. :) Eileen & Steve’s wedding was especially fun because they had a live band who kept the dance floor packed all night. We had the best time with Eileen, Steve and their families!
Brittany & Jim’s Wedding Day was the first time we had ever been to Six Mile Creek Vineyard in Ithaca, NY. It is absolutely gorgeous there! Of course it was one of the hottest days this summer, but the entire bridal party was such troopers about dealing with the heat. We went to the Plantations at Cornell University for their First Look and some formal pictures, and then headed over to the Vineyard for the ceremony.
Brittany had planned out every detail of the wedding day and there were so many personal touches throughout the day, but especially at the reception….and who doesn’t love some sparkler pictures?

We have been the strangest weather here this time of year. Sometimes it’s beautiful, sometimes it’s cold. Earlier in the week before Alexandra & Andrew’s wedding, the forecast was saying 60% chance of rain and we had planned a LOT of outdoor picture time. So we couldn’t have been happier when it turned out that it barely sprinkled when we needed to be outside and did the heavy raining during the ceremony when we were indoors anyway! By the time we were at the reception at the Chenango Valley State Park, the rain was pretty much done for the day which everyone was thrilled about. Enjoy a few of our favorite pictures from their big day. (If you want to see all the pictures head over here.)
What a crazy Wedding Season we had in 2012. We just weren’t able to keep up with posting our favorite wedding pictures as we were so busy editing and designing albums for our brides. But we are going to catch up this winter and share with us some of our favorites from 2012 in the next several weeks. Since no post is complete without a picture, I will leave you with one of my favorite pictures from our last wedding of 2012. :)
Bobbie and Andrew’s wedding day was perfect! The weather was GORGEOUS and Bobbie and Andrew are such a great couple and so obviously in love. It was wonderful to see how happy they make each other. Their day was filled with so much love and laughter and it was my privilege to share in their special day!
Bobbie has the BEST taste in shoes! :)
One of my favorite parts of Bobbie and Andrew’s wedding was that Bobbie had 2 wedding dresses! She couldn’t decide which one she liked better so she wore one to the wedding and another to the reception. Bobbie had personalized wedding hangers made at The Wedding Hanger Shop and they looked so great in her wedding gown pictures.
Bobbie and Andrew’s reception at Donoli’s Restaraunt in Apalachin was a blast!
They dated for 9 years, so it was no surprise to anyone how much fun Eileen and Jeff have together. It rained all week, leading up to their Friday wedding so we were all nervous, but by Friday the weather was beautiful, rain free and just a bit windy. Eileen & Jeff decided to do a “First Look” which we LOVE. It allowed them to take all their formal pictures with the Bridal Party ahead of time before the wedding so that they didn’t have to allow hours between the ceremony and reception in order to get all of the pictures they wanted.
Their Reception was SO MUCH FUN! The Holiday Inn Arena in Binghamton was beautiful and the staff there did a wonderful job.
The Photo Booth by Exceptional Receptions by Jimmie Malone was a big hit.
Check out Eileen & Jeff’s Wedding Favors/Placecards. The guests can later take their photo booth picture and insert it into the plastic sleeve. So cute!
Baked Euphoria did an amazing job with the cake!
What a beautiful weekend we had here in Binghamton! We met Nicky & Josh at Stair Park in Vestal and had a blast walking around the park/creek together. They are such a fun couple and we loved seeing them together!
Planning your wedding can be so much fun, but for most people it’s the first large event they’ve ever planned and it can be really overwhelming. There are so many great ideas out on the internet that you can use for wedding planning and the best way to keep them all organized is Pinterest! If you aren’t on Pinterest yet, you need to sign up TODAY! It will make your life so much easier as you plan your wedding to keep all of your ideas organized.
One of the perks of Pinterest is that you can search for wedding ideas on there and look at inspiration boards other people have created without having to know them or be friends with them. But the people you ARE friends with probably have boards already that you can use for inspiration. Ask your friends, family, your photographer, florist or anyone you are already working with for your wedding if they are on Pinterest. I’ve been married for almost 12 years, but I still see great wedding ideas every day, so I keep a board of wedding inspiration for my brides to check out.
This is one of my favorite ideas I found recently on Pinterest. What a great way to save your wedding bouquet! You can read the full post with instructions at http://www.comeonilene.com/2011/12/16/wedding-memory-capsule-christmas-ornament/
So head over to Pinterest and start pinning away for your wedding! :)
Who doesn’t love seeing pictures of your wedding gown? You have spent hours, maybe days or weeks picking out the perfect dress for you and you want to have beautiful pictures of your dress in all its glory.
Taking pictures of your wedding gown is one of my favorite things to do, but those generic plastic hangers that the bridal shop gives you aren’t exactly a thing of beauty. This is where Customized Wedding Hangers come in! There are several companies now that make adorable personalized hangers with your name on it that you can purchase.
We recently discovered WeddingHangerShop.com who make custom wedding hangers. They have so many options to choose from and have been kind enough to offer our blog readers 10% off any purchase until the end of the month! Here are some examples of their work:
